James Boreing – 1943-2012

Late Monday night, my father, James Boreing, fell asleep on the living room couch (most likely watching Fox News or some Lifetime movie). Tuesday morning, he awoke in Glory.

Dad is my number one reason for my love of Southern Gospel music. I grew up on his record collection of Goodmans, Hinsons, Dixie Echoes, Kingsmen, and Oak Ridge Boys. He carted me around to just about any concert I wanted to go to, and was the biggest single influence on my life, both musically and spiritually.

This will be one of the hardest times of my life, but at the same time, it is also bringing me comfort in knowing that he is finally Home.

I love you, Dad. Enjoy your reward!!

The Brothers Quartet

If you’ve done some browsing around YouTube (or even this site), you may have seen various video clips of myself and my brothers, Dale, Darrell, and Kevin, singing together as a quartet. These have often been special events, where we have sung one or two songs together for a church service.

However, on Friday, March 23rd, we performed a full concert together at Miami Whitewater United Methodist Church in Harrison, OH. Here is a clip of what happens when four brothers get on stage and try to outdo each other…..

Thank you Donna Gray and WCNW-AM

I’d like to thank Ms. Donna Gray and Mark Hampton at 1560AM WCNW for the opportunity to join them on the air and promote my music. We spent an hour chatting and playing songs from three projects. Thanks again!! I had a blast!
